In 2010, we had the last usual music event in September (September 1st). A few months later (October 20th, I think), we were greeted Back to the Mac featuring Mac OSX Lion and the first revision to the MacBook Air.
Having two events is not totally outside the realm of possibility. I know next to nothing how Apple launches products. Apple announced the original iPad with almost seventy days lead time. Apple might announce it at the iPhone event and have deployments all around by October. But I don’t think so. Apple hasn’t done that pre-announcement in a long time.
