Today, I went to my local Apple Store in Rosedale Mall and purchased a MacBook Air. I’m sitting in the living room right now typing on it, practicing using a new keyboard, learning new gestures and experiencing whatever it is that make these computers so captivating.
No, this isn’t a review. It’s a monument.
Right now, I’ve set up Mail, Twitter, and Safari with LastPass. Even with those few things, I feel right at home while using a new machine. It’s been about an hour. Those special trackpad gestures are nice but they take a while to learn since they’re not immediately evident. The App Store is fun but I don’t know what’s awesome – there’s a bunch of top apps, but they seem a little silly. I still need to try the instant-on feature and the much desired backlit keyboard. And I still have to experience more first. I’ll get to it, hold on.
But let’s get back to business. I got a mac.
