The workspaces feature is incredibly handy but it’s hard to use sometimes. If you want to move an Application, you have drag it into the corner, then switch and then drag it some more. So inelegant.
The solution is actually really simple. On your applications title bar, right click. You’ll get a lovely context menu. The standard minimize, maximize and so on are listed first. Then you can find some other handy choices. You’re looking for Move to Workspace Right or Move to Workspace Left. If you’re really organized, you can move your application to a specific workspace by using the sub-choices under Move to Another Workspace.
It’s really that easy, but wouldn’t be nice if there were some shortcuts for that? Actually, there is. You can move the currently focused window to the next, left or right workspace, by using the standard workspace combination plus shift:
shift + ctrl + alt + left/right.
